Every donation helps create more opportunities for young people across Aotearoa. Through Milford Foundation’s 50/50 model, half of each donation supports current grants, while the other half is invested to help fund future grant making.
Milford covers the Foundation’s operating costs, helping ensure donations can be directed towards charitable activity and community impact.

First Foundation mentors meet with a scholar for around one hour each month. They provide guidance and practical insight as scholars move through education and prepare for employment. Find out more here.
A gift in your Will is a lasting way to help young New Zealanders reach their potential. After providing for your loved ones, you may choose to leave a gift to Milford Foundation to support future generations through education, wellbeing and opportunity.
Bequests can be made at any level and do not affect your finances during your lifetime. If you’re considering leaving a gift in your Will, we’d be happy to have a confidential conversation. Your lawyer or Will provider can also advise on including Milford Foundation in a new or existing Will.

The Foundation does not run open grant rounds. We identify organisations whose work aligns with our strategy and where funding and practical support can improve outcomes for young people.
Registered charities working with young people in Aotearoa New Zealand may contact us if their work addresses barriers to education, employment or wellbeing and meets our partnership criteria.
