Crisis Funding

Response and recovery

When significant events disrupt the lives of young people in Aotearoa New Zealand, we support trusted community organisations to respond to local needs and help communities recover.

Our crisis response fund

While our primary focus is supporting young people through our long-term funding priorities, we recognise that unexpected events can have a significant impact on young people, whānau and communities.

Our $1 million Crisis Response Fund enables us to respond when major events create urgent need. By working through trusted local organisations with strong community connections, we can help ensure support reaches those who need it most and that funding gets to where it can have the most impact immediately.

The Fund has supported community-led recovery efforts following events such as COVID-19 and Cyclone Gabrielle, reinforcing the importance of timely, flexible support delivered by organisations that understand local needs. The Crisis Response Fund sits alongside our other funding programmes, providing dedicated funding for response and recovery when communities need it most.
