Mark is an experienced governance professional with an extensive investment banking background as an executive. He is currently Chair of Chorus and Vocus Group (Australia), and a director and chair of the audit and risk committees of both Xero and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. He has previously been a director of Accident Compensation Corporation, Z Energy, Genesis Energy and Argosy Property.
Mark has a longstanding connection with Milford, having served as a director of Milford Asset Management Limited from 2013, then chair from 2016 until his retirement from the Board in 2022. He has retained his connection to Milford as a shareholder and a client.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accounting and Finance from Massey University. He is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors New Zealand and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Outside the boardroom, Mark is a committed endurance athlete. In 2022, he completed the 250-kilometre Atacama Crossing to raise funds for the Milford Foundation Scholarship Programme, supporting school leavers who might otherwise be unable to attend university. He is delighted to continue his support for the Foundation as a Trustee, contributing his governance, financial and investment experience to help create stronger outcomes for future generations.
