Lucy brings more than18 years of philanthropy, sustainability, and corporate impact leadership across New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Europe. She joins us from the BNZ Foundation, where she served as its inaugural Head, overseeing strategy, governance, partnerships and impact delivery. Under her leadership, the Foundation developed a dual-pillar strategy focused on biodiversity regeneration, financial wellbeing and housing access. Annual giving also increased from $350k to $2 million.
Prior to BNZ, Lucy spent several years at National Australia Bank, where she led philanthropic strategy for the then $100 million NAB Foundation, and drove significant growth in social investment, disaster resilience initiatives, and employee engagement across a workforce of 30,000.
Across her career, Lucy has held senior roles spanning sustainability leadership, ESG strategy, stakeholder engagement, and corporate responsibility. She is recognised for her strategic thinking, governance expertise, and ability to build high-trust partnerships with iwi, NGOs, government, and community organisations. She is also a skilled communicator and thought leader, passionate about driving long-term environmental and social outcomes.
