Anna has a background in tertiary education and the public sector. She has worked as a volunteer for a wide range of organisations and has a personal commitment to supporting arts organisations and outdoor activities. In 2023 she established the Brian Gaynor Business Journalism Initiatives dedicated to supporting and promoting quality business journalism in New Zealand. She is a staunch supporter of the Milford Foundation, its values and its ability to do good in New Zealand communities
