25 years ago Sir Graeme Dingle and Jo-anne Wilkinson, Lady Dingle, decided to dedicate their lives to helping Kiwi kids when they co-founded the Graeme Dingle Foundation in order to help change the negative youth statistics in our own backyard, here in New Zealand.

0800 What's Up? image

Barnardos 0800 What’s Up is a national helpline for children and young people offering free counselling via phone or online chat. Empowering tamariki and rangatahi is central to their counselling practice. Many of the children and young people who call are trusting an adult with their problems for the first time. The Barnardos 0800 What’s Up counsellors, are fully qualified professionals, are trained to listen and use all their skills to help callers and chatters.

The Special Children’s Christmas Parties, are the biggest of their kind in New Zealand for special needs children and their families. The children who are invited suffer from either a life-threatening illness, physical and intellectual impairment, domestic violence, or live in underprivileged circumstances. The Milford Foundation partnership will help these children along with their families experience the Christmas they deserve.

We’re helping to create the conditions for the restoration of the mauri of the land, waters and communities of the Puhinui catchment. We’re supporting a Sustainable Business Network’s (SBN) programme creating and financing jobs for local rangatahi. This will contribute to a restoration vision led by mana whenua and the local community.

South Auckland suffers from the worst water quality, most of the waterways are piped and there are growing waste and stormwater problems.
